I am the luminous illusion

Sea: photo by Thalia Katsiveli

I am the luminous illusion

you came close as if lost,
like a wave dissolving on sands of shore,
tickling smile of white surf on my melancholy feet,
holding your sari, with flood of laughter went away
playing on the waves, in the diminishing light across horizon,
vanished.

I dive into a zero in the showers of clouds
wandering a maze, in thousand streams,
of your image illusory. Flowing down on me,
the mysterious lines whispered in my ears,
I am the luminous illusion on this tidal ocean
in eternity.

Arrogant Ego

Meteor-Crater on Earth
Very few may even think of how finite resources from the Earth are squandered for fancies that have no relevance to well-being of all the living-beings on the earth.

Arrogant Ego

Arrogant Ego of hi-tech-man,
mountain-high, with blinkers on,
from satellites to PC to metropolis
that leave deep craters
in the Earth – than meteors
Without Bang many Wars.

THE MANNEQUINS

Mannequins

The maze of happy mannequins
In regiments after regiments
In the synthetic woods
Of glamour and clamour,
Their presence produces
Weird noise meaningless
That compels me to move
Ceaselessly on sharp edges,
Adds on to boredom and exhaustion
That leads me nowhere:
No germination,
No deliverance.

Pharaoh in wilderness (Poem)

My heart is a sanctuary
in urban wilderness
where a great Pharaoh
buries himself
in a hole of secret riches
behind several barriers.

WAR VICTIM

Infant Terrible

Born under the shadow
of Second World War
it was their flat 2D world
of the white skin people
by default its hot soot
settled on his godforsaken
enslaved brown soil village
by Natural design by Air
the soot left him lame
in his system forever
from Liberation.

Life is larger than all Arts, Sciences, Religions, Philosophies, trade, techs, States ... through times and places that civilized societies invented. — Remigius de Souza

Prayer Power

Prayer and Work

Prayer Power, poem by Remigius de Souza, Mumbai

Prayer Power

Prayer when becomes Work
Nature becomes ugly liability.

Work when becomes Prayer
Nature becomes supreme serenity.
***

Why to pray in the first place?
To what purpose is a prayer addressed?
To who is it addressed?
Is a prayer an offering?
Then what is offered in a prayer?
1) Is it an offering of Words (Mantra?) or an Act of Sacrifice (of something or someone else)?
2) Or, Is a prayer asking for / an application to an authority for a favour in return of an offering?
Could I be an authority and the devotee?
Could I be an offering and the sacrifice at the same time?

(Here, Nature that is within and outside, both; Nature is not merely greenery. There is no need for initiation by any guru to follow and practice work, any work, as a prayer.
It is indeed a way out of conflict/s within a person, between persons, or groups, or between Man and Nature.)

Tsunami! Tsunami!!

In The Ocean of People

Spring Image: wmf.org.eg

Up a hill a stream to low lands finds its way down
through the rocks, cliffs, rough land runs down!
Nectar of earth runs down! Dark clouds pour down!
Accumulated knowledge acquired from the banks

of knowledge wants to go up, builds vaults more,
acquires more by refining, by splitting hair,
fragments wholesome life; very little trickles down.
Some water goes up by capillary attraction

in a congenial body, some evaporates to cool,
a lot percolates in lower strata in soil, in a pool,
runs down to rivers, to ocean to sustain life all.

In Tsunami it lashes ashore and cleanses land,
in cosy igloo gives loving warmth and shelter.

Knowledge has to go down to the ignorant;
and the educated who move in their grooves
of expertise ignorant of vital other areas
of their personal and the collective living.

Floods, earthquakes, Tsunami shatter lives,
Yet leave behind vital lessons: To be reborn.

The meek build from the debris. Why harp on
the limitations rather than take charge of self,
when the nature in abundance is there to help?

Leave all the external aids that corrupt.
Or the silent multitude hit back in Tsunami.

There’s a scramble among the learned to go up,
up the economic ladder, keep their knowledge
mummified in the safe custody of the specialist.

Who’s that, who memorizes scriptures by-heart,
has ever received salvation, a liberated soul?
At any point of time – place is a starting point.

When it rains we rarely ‘look’ at it and feel:
It needs some animal sense, vegetable instinct
in the unified holistic life, and some honesty.

Nature – Primal Source of Wealth

Mother Nature – Srishti – within us and outside, even beyond the Earth, Infinite

Mother Nature – Srishti

Nature – Primal Source of Wealth

Labour of living-beings creates wealth,
From Land and Waters,
with help of Five Primal Elements;
Not in a mint, factory or stock market.
There happen processes,
building-breaking, energy-expenditure.
